Third and final book in the Earthblood trilogy is a nice wrap up to the series. More blasts of mayhem when you least expect it. More trials and tribulations for the survivors of Earthblood. The camera shop scene is a rare case of being shocked by the unexpected that don't come around to often. See what happens in the end. Will evil win? Will the just and right triumph? Read the books and find out. Third and final book in the Earthblood trilogy is a nice wrap up to the series. More blasts of mayhem when you least expect it. And so the other Axler series comes to a close. For a 3 story arc, I'll admit that I throughly enjoyed all 3 books in the Earthblood trilogy. Like Deathlands, the series is simple, full of testosterone fueled plot elements, and, overall, a better than average tale of post apocalyptic America.

Aurora Quest closes out the trilogy, and though it's the weakest of the bunch, it's still hard not to find a lot to like about it. There's a fair amount of over the top violence and gore, main characters get

Aurora Quest closes out the trilogy, and though it's the weakest of the bunch, it's still hard not to find a lot to like about it. There's a fair amount of over the top violence and gore, main characters getting killed off in heartless fashions and an antagonist that, despite screaming cliches like a GI Joe cartoon or Bond villain, is actually just evil enough that you can't wait to see them loose at the hands of the good guys. Plus, the book is a super easy, fast, and hard to put down read.

As a whole, the entire Earthblood series was entertaining. Original? No. But at least each book was fun couple of hours away from reality.

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. Good enough final book. They made it to the place they'd been searching for the entire time.

But...there's a lot of stuff left on the table. Like WHO THE HECK IS NANCY, REALLY? I can't believe that didn't make it. Is Margaret actually dead (implied she dies but it's just implied)? What about the rest of the sun? Why was it so important they all get together at their secret spot and what are they gonna do now?

I listened to it on Graphic Audio so that may have tainted my perception of the book. Not the most intelligent of series'. But had an interesting twist on life after the Apocalypse. A struggle between those looking to take control after the Apocalypse. I listened to it on Graphic Audio so that may have tainted my perception of the book. Not the most intelligent of series'. This is the third book of the series--I never got the first two unfortunately--but this book is still an action packed read typical of the 'men's fiction' genre. I really enjoyed the heck out of it. Unfortunately it's out of print, though the audio book version seems to still be available. "James Axler" was a house pseudonym used by Gold Eagle Books, the action adventure imprint of Harlequin Enterprises Ltd.

The pseudonym was first used for the Deathlands series, which began in 1986 with Pilgrimage to Hell, created by Christopher Lowder (under the pseudonym Jack Adrian) and co-written with Laurence James who continued Deathlands until retiring from the series in 1995.

At that point, prolific author and comics creator Mark Ellis took over the "Axler" pen name.

A busy comics creator in the 1980s and 90s, Mark created the popular Death Hawk character and also developed/created Star Rangers, The Justice Machine, Ninja Elite and The Miskatonic Project as well as working on such popular properties as Doc Savage, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu, The Green Hornet, The Saint and The Wild Wild West.

In 1996 he created the best-selling OUTLANDERS series. He has produced more books as "James Axler" than any other writer, including contributions to the Deathlands series.

Combined with the audio book editions, OUTLANDERS comprises well over 100 novels.

The audio books are available through Graphic Audio.

With the cancellation of the Gold Eagle imprint at the end of 2015, OUTLANDERS ended its 18.5 year run, making it the most successful mass-market paperback series of the last 30 years.

Mark has been featured in Starlog, Comics Scene and Fangoria magazines. He has also been interviewed by Robert Siegel for NPR's All Things Considered.

His other books include THE EVERYTHING GUIDE TO WRITING GRAPHIC NOVELS, CRYPTOZOICA, THE EXECUTIONER: HELLFIRE TRIGGER, THE EXECUTIONER: DEVIL'S GUARD, THE SPUR: LOKI'S ROCK, THE SPUR: HELLDORADO and THE FALCON: RESURRECTED.

His most recent books are PARALLAX PRIME: OF DIRE CHIMERAS (2017), KNIGHTWATCH: INVICTUS X , DEATH HAWK THE COMPLETE SAGA (2019), CALL SIGN CERBERUS: EXILE TO HELL (2020), LAKOTA, NOSFERATU: SOVEREIGN OF TERROR (2021) and KING SOLOMON'S MINES: THE GRAPHIC NOVEL (2022).

He lives in rural Ireland with his wife, best-selling paranormal author Melissa Martin Ellis.
